Lost Weblog

I already wrote this once this morning. Disappeared into the mists. Don't know what I was thinking about then, but now I'm thinking about dark. Moveis--books. Noir, that is. The movie "Seven", you say. Too dark for me. I'll see your "Two days in the Valley" and raise you one "Storyville." (Spader- at his best) The public has been in denial since Todd Brownings's "Freaks." Noir is more than just content. I hear a lot about the content, but not much about the style. The realistic, clean-cut style is what first drew me in. It wasn't as much reading the story as stepping into it. I've never been a sucker for a happy ending. Tolerate them pretty well, though. When I have to. Cracker is my idea of a good time. :)
